# Alterchase SDK - Tools Overview

Complete overview of all editor tools in the Alterchase SDK.

## SDK Menu

Access all SDK tools from the Unity menu bar: **Alterchase SDK**

The menu contains three main tools in order:

1. **Mod Package Builder** - Create and build mod packages
2. **Mod Asset Library** - Browse all mod assets in your project  
3. **Mod Tester** - Load and test built asset bundles

## 1. Mod Package Builder

**Menu**: `Alterchase SDK > Mod Package Builder`

### Purpose
Central hub for creating, managing, and building mod packages.

### Features
- **Create New Packages** - Generate new ModPackage ScriptableObjects
- **Package Validation** - Check package for errors before building
- **Asset Bundle Building** - Compile packages into distributable asset bundles
- **Package Overview** - View all assets included in the package
- **Build Settings** - Configure target platform and output path

### Workflow
```
1. Click "Create New" to make a ModPackage
2. Fill in package metadata (name, author, version, description, icon)
3. Add assets (levels, models, enemies) to the package
4. Click "Validate Package" to check for errors
5. Click "Build Asset Bundles" to compile
6. Asset bundle is created in Builds/Mods/[PackageName]/

- Starting a new mod project
- Adding assets to an existing package
- Building mods for distribution
- Checking package integrity before upload

## 2. Mod Asset Library

**Menu**: `Alterchase SDK > Mod Asset Library`

### Purpose
Browse and search all mod assets in your Unity project.

### Features
- **Asset Type Filtering** - View levels, models, enemies, or all assets
- **Search Functionality** - Find assets by name
- **Quick Access** - Click to select and inspect assets
- **Statistics** - See total count of each asset type

### When to Use
- Finding existing mod assets in your project
- Getting overview of available content
- Quickly accessing assets for editing

## 3. Mod Tester ⭐ NEW!

**Menu**: `Alterchase SDK > Mod Tester`

### Purpose
Load and test built asset bundles in the Unity Editor.

### Features
- **Asset Bundle Loading** - Load built mod files for testing
- **Package Information Display** - View loaded mod details
- **Level Testing** - Create test scenes and load level mods
- **Model Spawning** - Instantly place models in your scene
- **Enemy Spawning** - Test enemy prefabs and AI
- **Test Scene Creation** - Generate test environments
- **Play Mode Integration** - Quick access to test

### Workflow
```
1. Build your mod using Mod Package Builder
2. Open Mod Tester window
3. Click "Browse" and select your built asset bundle
4. Click "Load Asset Bundle"
5. Review loaded package information
6. Click "Create Test Scene" (optional)
7. Spawn models/enemies or load levels
8. Click "Enter Play Mode" to test
9. Exit Play Mode and iterate
10. Click "Unload" when finished
```

### Testing Options

**Level Testing:**
- Click "Load & Test Scene" next to a level
- Automatically creates test environment
- Ready to enter Play Mode

**Model Testing:**
- Click "Spawn in Scene" next to a model
- Model appears in Scene View
- Enter Play Mode to test physics

**Enemy Testing:**
- Click "Spawn in Scene" next to an enemy
- Test AI behavior in Play Mode

### Phase 1: Creation
